Tehya’s Two Month Ampuversary

Tripawds is a user-supported community. Thank you for your support!

Well it’s two months today since Tehya’s amputation and as you know from my previous blogs things aren’t looking to good for her right now. Today the tumor on her toe has grown quite a bit and we have spoken to our vet about what steps should be taken next. He will recheck her again on Thursday to see how things are going for her but right now we keep enjoying her wagging tail and incredible spirit.
We can’t thank you all for the continued support that we have been receiving in these very hard times!

    Hi Darlene and Tehya,

Happy Ampuversary to Tehya – we hope that she gets lots of treats and extra hugs to celebrate. But that celebration is tempered by her toe – we’re so sad to hear that the tumor on it is visibly growing. We are hoping that Tehya’s spirit continues to amaze you, and that her wonderful tail keeps wagging for you. And as Angel Jake’s mom said, keep on spoiling her and enjoying every minute with her.

Sending lots of hugs and doggie kisses from across the border,

PS – congratulations on the hockey gold yesterday! Was Tehya watching to learn any new tricks as the neighborhood goalie?

Hugs to Tehya. We are hoping for some good news. In the meantime, enjoy now.

I wish we were closer to you because you need to biggest hug ever! We just read your last two posts and my Mom is crying! Cancer really sucks!!!! Your story is very similar to ours with Peyton. The cancer came back and we just couldn’t put him through any more surgeries, sometimes enough is enough.

Enjoy Tehya every minute you can! Don’t have any regrets! You have done so much for her and she appreciates it! Keep us posted!

Dar, I so wish I was there so I could give you, Dave and Tehya big hugs! I know what you’re going through and I know how much it hurts. But remember that Tehya doesn’t know her prognosis and she’s living in the moment. Live with her in the moment, live those moments to the fullest, and cherish them. Really, none of us ever know how long we have so we should all live like Tehya does, wagging our tails and loving those who love us.

    Hugs to all!
